Day One: Snowflake

Makoto walked up to Damian, who’s eyes were lost in the amass of snowflakes falling from above.

“Not cold?” Makoto smiled warmly at him, finding his enamored face adorable.

“No.” Damian breathlessly stated. His eyes never left the sky. “I’ve never seen it fall like this before. Even at the Antarctic. It’s so… pretty.”

Makoto softly chuckled, looking up herself. “This was one of the few things that kept me happy back in Montana: and you’re right, it’s beautiful.”

“Makoto…” Damian looked to her and she looked back, and upon looking, he became lost in the sight of her. “I…” Even under the furred hood, Makoto’s hair had gathered snow as it splayed over her shoulders and chest.

Makoto looked at him and blushed, smiling and chuckling softly again.

As Makoto stayed silent Damian’s own blush worsened, and finally, “You look beautiful.” slipped from his lips.

“So do you.” Makoto smiled.

A soft airy hum fluttered from above. Nether of the two looked up, but continued to look at each other as Tsukirei landed behind Damian.

“So where to now, love?” Makoto tilted her head, her smile broadening.

Damian laughed softly, blush getting redder. “Would it be bad if I said your orphanage?”

“No, it wouldn’t.” Makoto smiled genuinely. She walked to Tsukirei. “It’s about time,” She turned to face Damian and walked backwards. “and you deserve to see.”

Damian smiled at her, and followed to Tsukirei’s bay.
